Gents This week saw us play in the cup final against the unbeaten SKCC. A hard game was ahead of us- but with support in the stands reaching a good size and home territory we felt that this could be our day. It was a sunny day to start with but finished up raining in the end. First half was a strong display from us with good physical battles being won across the pitch in the air and on the ground. We took the lead with a superb finish from Luke and set our stall out early that we were... Read Full Post »

Sweet here is also the Margate write up This week saw us play Margate. We started the game strongly and made a few good chances but nothing was coming off. They found the net first with a shot from just outside the box looping into the bottom corner. They added a second from a free kick which was swung in and we failed to clear again finding the net. Sam started our recovery with a well taken free kick once again clinical from set pieces which he has been all year. Half time came. ... Read Full Post »

Gents we played away SMB on a short and but flat pitch in Canterbury. We started off well coming close but found it hard to judge weight of our passes and found ourself over or under hitting quite a few. We started to them build on the chances we were taking and then soon found the net with an effort from Sam. A cooly dispatched free kick into the top corner. A well taken goal. We pressed more and a chance saw Paul smash in the ball from the middle of the box after a good run from defenc... Read Full Post »

Gents We played our rival fixture against City church from Canterbury on home soil! The first half saw a fairly balanced affair with both teams playing well and perhaps us creating a few good chances. But we didn't find any real breakthrough. Ryan tested the keeper well on two separate occasions but he was a great keeper and kept them out. Our goal came from a corner Sam whipped in the corner low and hard which bounced through Liam's legs off a defender and into no mans land on the... Read Full Post »

Gents We entertained Hythe at home on a nice warm sunny Saturday morning. We started well with good balance and shape in the team set us up structurally to be strong and we created so many chances. We must have had well over 10 corners and about 10 free kicks in the game. Gents We lined up with a miss mash side as 6 first team players were away but managed to pull team together . We saw two debuts and a few recalls to the team including a first game of this season for some players of old. We started the game brightly with dave crossing fine ball across the box to find Craig who finished cooly - fair play to Craig who's body in the momentum made him fall into the post in the process. We played well considering a lot of us were playing for the first ti... Read Full Post »
